C2C 2011

Walney IslandStarting on the 19th August we are riding the Coast to Coast (C2C) route from Walney Island in Cumbria to Saltburn, North Yorks.

It’s a three day trip and we’ll be stopping overnight in Kendal and then Barnard Castle.

After departing Walney Island, we first stop at Ulverston going on to Grange over Sands and then finish the day at Kendal. From Kendal we go to Orton and then stop off at the dreaded Tan Hill, scene of our nightmare weekend early in the year. After Tan Hill we ride to our next overnight stop at Barnard Castle.

On the final day we travel from Barnard Castle to Hurworth, then Great Ayton and finish the trip on Saltburn Pier.

We’ll be adding daily blog posts, a picture gallery and videos as we go along.

Here is a road map of the route we’ll be taking.
