Back to Bourg d’Oisans!
In just a little over a week, on June 22nd, we return to Bourg d’Oisans, one of our all time favourite locations!
We were here back in 2012 and passed through again in 2013 so we’re pretty familar with the area (and the Cafe de Paris in particular!) and we can’t wait to get back.
We’ll be taking on all the famous climbs in the area but the highlight of this years’ trip will be tackling the legendary La Marmot.
La Marmot is one of the oldest sportives in cycling and is the ultimate cycling test. The route takes in four of the most famous climbs from the Tour de France: the Glandon, Telegraph, Galibier and then finishing atop the Alpe d’Huez.
Four major Cols in one day! 187 kilometres and 5180 metres elevation.
That will sort the men from the boys!
To see how we get on you can follow along on the blog where I’ll be doing the usual daily updates or on our Facebook page where I’ll be adding links to the blog as well as pics throughout the day and evenings. Be sure to like and follow our Facebook page to get the updates.
(Any updates live from the Cafe de Paris come with the usual caveats…)

Good luck to you all cycling up and down those mountains every day and enjoy your holiday experience and good luck to the van driver and daily blogger Dave keeping us interested in what you are doing. Have fun and keep safe on those roads X Kathleen
