At the end of June 2019 we returned to Bourg d’Oisans, one of our all time favourite locations!
We were here back in 2012 and passed through again in 2013 so we’re pretty familar with the area (and the Cafe de Paris in particular!) and we couldn’t wait to get back.
We took on all the famous climbs in the area but the highlight of this years’ trip was tackling the legendary La Marmotte.
La Marmotte is one of the oldest sportives in cycling and is the ultimate cycling test. The route takes in four of the most famous climbs from the Tour de France: the Glandon, Telegraph, Galibier and then finishing atop the Alpe d’Huez. Four major Cols in one day! 187 kilometres and 5180 metres elevation. One to sort the men from the boys!
