Sardinia 2026 – Update – Calla Ganone to Alghero

Welcome to our second update of the lads’ ride in Sardinia.

Day 3 – Tuesday 9th June

Another great write-up from Paul:-

“A tough coast-to-coast today, Calla Gonone to Bosa 89 miles.

As soon as we left the hotel, we were straight onto a 4-mile climb, not the best way to start the day, but we knew what was coming as we had done the climb yesterday.

John was off to the bike shop in Dorgali, while I, Ade, Marty & Spena pushed on to Nuomo for a coffee.

The next stop was Marcomer, which was the highest point of the ride. Spena was suffering from saddle sores and jumped in the van just before Marcomer, which left me, Ade & Marty to finish the day with a nice 15-mile downhill run to the hotel.”

Day 4 – Wednesday 10th June

Over to Paul:-

“Today we made the short hop from Bosa to Alghero 30 miles, however, a strong headwind and a few big lumps made it another tough one. Thankfully, the sea breeze was a lot cooler than on previous days.

Johnny G made his holiday debut after finally fixing his bike. ?

Alghero is a big resort, so lots of options tonight and hopefully somewhere to watch the England game ????????
