Too far to make Roses on the bikes from Avigon in one day so the lads are getting the train to Portbou right on the France / Spain border.

We load everything into the van and Ade and I head off on our 3 hours plus journey. It’s red hot and the start on the holiday season so we soon hit traffic problems. We arrive at Portbou after the lads who are having lunch. After lunch we unload the van and the lads set off…

We’re right on the coast here and the coastal road is spectacular to say the least. But it’s very twisty and lumpy so it’s a tough ride for the lads in the 30 degree heat.

We were late away from Portbou but we’re now in Roses right on the coast. It looks great and we’ll be heading out for a few beers soon. No need for an early start tomorrow so it might be more than a few!!
