The lads overlook Bormio
This year’s trip sees us based in Bormio, Italy to tackle some of the climbs made famous by the Giro d’Italia.
We’re based at Cima Piazzi camp site in log cabins and ideally placed for many of the high Alpine passes in the area.
It’s a great spot but we soon find the passes in the Italian Alps are more brutal than those in the French Alps. Longer, steeper and with more switchbacks, the punishment is extreme!
